Pick Up and Drop Off

Pickup & Drop Off of Students at McKinley Elementary School

Students arriving at school can be dropped off in front of the school on Kenwood Avenue or near the playground on Middle Road. We encourage parents to escort their students into the building if they are going to arrive after 7:55, when teachers bring their classes into the building. Please note there are cones that mark a No Parking zone directly in front of the school.

Patrol members are present at the corners of 18th Street, Middle Road and Locust Streets. Please be mindful of their directions, especially at dismissal. There tends to be a lot of congestion at this time, and patience and cooperation are greatly appreciated. Please note that parent pick ups are not allowed on 18th Street. This allows the district buses to operate freely, and speeds dismissal.

If parents need to pick up their student from school during the day for any reason, please contact the office at 563.723.6800, and speak to our school secretary.
