Volunteer Instructions
Volunteers play a very important role in helping the district accomplish its mission and Grow Excellence in our classrooms everyday.
We want to thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer in our district. Your time will make a positive difference in the success of our students. The District encourages and welcomes volunteers to help in the classroom, library, office, and at the district level. There are many ways you may be involved.
If you are interested in helping on a volunteer basis, please notify the appropriate school or building you wish to volunteer at and follow the instructions outlined below.
Become a Volunteer
Davenport Community Schools wants your volunteer experience to be pleasant and meaningful. We recognize that all of us share a common concern for the safety and security of our children. To help guarantee the highest quality volunteer experience for everyone, all prospective volunteers must complete an application and background screening prior to service in our schools. If you have questions, please contact the Volunteer Office at (563) 336-7412.
Please note that it may take up to two weeks for applications to be processed. We hope this helps you plan in advance for volunteering in our schools.
